Our story

hello from

Hi, I'm Vanessa. SMUD started with a very ordinary annoyance: a cupboard full of plastic bottles that were mostly water, and not one of them nice enough to leave out.

I love a full table. Friends over, too much food, a sink full of pans at midnight. That's the good kind of mess, and it deserves nicer things to clean up with.

So I'm making soap that's fun to mix, fair on your wallet, and pretty enough to live by the sink. I want low-waste to be easy and affordable for everyone, because the little things we do every day are how real change happens.
